About Us
A brand build on the frustration of modern consumerism and products that don’t last. Barefeet Surf Collective provides plastic free packaging, and a durable product that will last despite the salt and sun. Surfing, no matter the size of the wave should be fun for everyone and what better way to create a fun experience through keeping your surf accessories fun. After scouring the market for a fun board cover and coming out empty handed, I decided to create my own. The brand started in my bedroom hand sewing covers for friends and family, I quickly became overwhelmed with orders and decided to create a more efficient way to produce my products. With the environment at the front of my mind I managed to find a supplier that was able produce canvas from recycled plastic and barefeet surf was born.
Barefeet Surf Collective, an Australian-born brand, is rethinking surf gear with its debut line of sustainable, corrosion proof surfboard covers. Inspired by South Australia’s coastlines, the collection features a unique fold-and-tie closure designed ready to protect any board sized 5.2 – 10.4. Founded by 23-year-old surfer Hannah Elliott, who’s passion for ocean conservation led her to contribute 10% of profits towards protecting the sea, making every board cover one step closer to a cleaner ocean.
We don’t want anyone to miss out so we created the board covers in two unique sizes appealing to both short and longboards. the bags adapt to a wide range of surfboard shapes and dimensions, allowing surfers to interchange all their boards using the same cover.
The launch of Barefeet Surf Collective comes at a moment when sustainability is no longer optional. With millions of tonnes of plastic entering the ocean each year, the brand empowers surfers to make conscious choices in the gear they use daily.
